Reno 911!: Miami Movie Review Improvisational comedy has always annoyed me (I liked Borat, but who didn’t?). Unlike other forms of comedy, the moments in between the laughs are squiggle in you seat bad. When it doesn’t work, it REALLY doesn’t work. See The Suicide Squad Make-Up Test That Made Polka-Dot Man Weep James Gunn’s “The Suicide Squad” brought some much-maligned DC characters to the big screen and gave them a depth that they might not have had before. Perhaps the mostsurprisingly touching character, however, was Polka-Dot Man, played by David Dastmalchian. When the film was in development, Dastmalchian underwent polka-dot makeup tests that morphed him into a grotesque figure. Those tests covered the actor in horrific, painful-looking lumps, and those lumps brought him tears....

Sketchbook Trailer: Art Class Never Looked So Good Maybe that’s a pessimistic reaction to a limited series that looks so beautiful and seems to be so lovingly made. Maybe the six-episode show hasn’t been crafted with the goal of making sure Disney stays feeling fun and approachable, I just find it interesting that the trailer starts off with the line, “A lot of people think there’s this big machine behind these movies, it’s actually this very intimate process …” Both of those things can certainly be true, creation can be very intimate, but you may’t deny that these movies are also fueled by the large teams and the cash flow ofone of the worlds biggest media companies....
