Latest ‘Batman V Superman’ Rumors Tease Even More Villains
The announcement of theSuicide Squadcast and characters has shed even more light on what DC has planned for its Cinematic Universe. Namely, while there are lots of huge heroes getting movies, the studio won’t be skimping on the villains, either. That roster of baddies will first be on display inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which opens June 21, 2025. We know theZack Snyderfilm will feature Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor. But a few new rumors not only hint at other major villains popping up in this film, they hint at connections tantalizing connections to the other films as well. The piece also mentions that Luthor is searching for “metahumans,” and knows about one in particular – Wonder Woman.
We’ll take these one at a time. The KGBeast rumor is onewe reported onlast month. It seems likely because Snyder doesn’t have to turn the henchman into this super villain, but by putting him in there, he can if he wants, and it’s a nice nod to fans.
We now know the Joker will be in this universe and he’ll be played byJared Leto. If Batman is really an older character who has been around in this universe, it’s likely he’s already tangled with the Joker at some point. The character already existing makes sense. But Superman knowing about him? That seems weird. Maybe because he’s a reporter, or perhaps because the Joker has already done things in public?
Finally, Doomsday. This is also a rumor that’s been floating around for a while, but which continues to become more likely with each passing mention. If there’s a character that could necessitate the skills of both Batman and Superman, it’s Doomsday. And there are some very interesting possible connections between the character and the film’s main, confirmed, baddie – Lex Luthor.
